Scoring

Beyond the releases, Headweller composes music for dance-theatre performances, short films, and video art. This practice is rooted in a fascination with slow-evolving, ambient soundscapes — textures that unfold patiently rather than resolve quickly. Each score is built as an emotional response to a specific scenario, shaping atmosphere and depth so that sound becomes a narrative force in its own right, working in tandem with moving image and live stage.

Echoes

The stage transforms into a space of negotiation between acceptance and resistance, highlighting how our experiences and relationships leave their distinct 'imprints' on us.

The space becomes a meeting point, opens up for dancers and non-dancers — to anyone who feels the need to move, to listen, or just to be inspired. Through the jam, three artists observe, select, and highlight ten dancers. In collaboration with live musicians, they co-create improvised performances born in the moment.

Bio

Headweller is Christos Chouvardas, a producer and composer born and based in Thessaloniki, Greece.

His work moves across two connected paths: dancefloor-driven electronic music rooted in psy-trance, and slow-evolving, cinematic compositions written for theatre, film, and visual art. What ties them together is a spiritual undercurrent, a search for music that speaks to both body and mind.

On the electronic side, he has performed at festivals including Shankra Festival (Switzerland), Tree Of Life Festival (Turkey), Solstice Festival (Netherlands), and Revision Festival (Greece), alongside numerous indoor shows in Greece and abroad. His catalog includes two solo EPs, remixes, and collaborations released on labels such as Zenon Records (Australia), Padang Records (Brazil), Universal Tribe Records (Australia), TesseractStudio (Serbia), and Blue Tunes Records (Germany).

Since 2022, his attention has increasingly turned toward ambient and narrative composition, scoring dance-theatre performances, short films, and video art. This is not a departure from his electronic work but an extension of it, the same intent expressed at a different tempo.

Across both paths, the goal stays the same: music that invites the listener into something transformative, a space for reflection, self-awareness, and connection.
